Teabag Dresses by Charlotte Forbes

I walked into the Flying Leap Art Space for Saturday afternoon collage and was taken on a tour by Donna Colby, the magical “midwife” of artistic births that take place in her world up there, to see the addition of four dresses hanging on the gallery walls.  One,  a dress made from paper towels full of paint, and three dresses made entirely of teabags.  Here they are!

Here is the one made from “paint rags” Dress of paint rags

The dresses were sent by Charlotte after the opening of the May show, so if you live in “TM Town” as we like to call it (ever since Oprah Winfrey visited Fairfield to meditate in the Golden Domes, go see them! and if you don’t come visit us! It was in an exalted inspired state I went back into the art classroom to make a collage. Teabags have been used in art many times, but i think the one on the left is especially evocative and highly drinkable by the soul. I wish the pics did them justice, but at least we got em.
