Artwalk this month was extra fun. Cielle said i should die my own hair pink. Anne Clifford didn’t. Noone didn’t recognize me for some reason. It IS amazing what changes a wig can make.

And now we offer our love of colors to Lord Shiva – I seem to have the same colors in my garden as in my outfits.
My Pyramid Collection order arrived! I finally ordered the Blue hoodie I’ve been wanting for at least a couple of years. This hoodies is SO soft. I love how Pyramid Collection clothes are so dedicated to a look, to a certain overall style.
Not all their clothes are “me” but I appreciate their flavor. I suppose you could say most catalogs have a certain style, but to me Pyramid has really zeroed in on a certain channel: Gothic, flowing, lace, bell sleeves, New Age, Tantric “toys” catering to a sort of metaphysical Bohemian Femme Fatale a la Enlightenment and Crystals. When I look at their catalog I get excited about doing a line of clothes that reflects my own taste. Or just about being true to one’s own aesthetic. To go into business you have to have both vision and a product people want. For me, being more of an artist than a business person, my own aesthetic would trump the market research aspect. I think that can work if the timing is right and you are lined up with your own mission. Venus clothes also have that discernible style coherence. The clothes endorse femininity and dignified sexuality. I like that. And I DID get my Venus order, but you’ll have to wait to see those clothes. Next time!
Friday night I got to do what I love best: put on fascinating stuff and move around in it. Artist Judy Bales creates outfits out of repurposed materials and I love wearing those things. I hope I have a picture soon of the sink strainers, but here is the lacey fluffy stuff I wore first in the fashion show at our annual artwalk dance show at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center May 3rd 2013.
Here’s from a few months ago at the Infinite OM Store in the vault installation. These are twist ties.

May 9th, 2013. this morning I did my yoga-asanas in this
SOMEDAY, I’ll be creating a line of clothes that reflects my love of layers, swish, chiffon (organic rayon chiffon) and color and flow. For now, I’ll keep piecing things together, the priority always being an outfit that I can dance in at any moment during the day when I feel to. I work at home so I get up often and practice a dance, create a new move or just improvise to some inviting piece of music on Pandora or SomaFM or KRUUFM (our solar-powered local radio station!).
This started out a different way but when the orange neck piece happened the pants had to be part of it. I love seeing something thru something else.
Saturday April 20th
I look at the creation of the outfit as a layer of the process of going from In to Out. I start the day with bathing (so unusual) and asanas and meditation. I have to “dress” for yoga. Randy says “her outfits start on the mat” and Then I add to or change my clothes. If I feel really good, it’s an amazing high to get dressed. It can be quick or slow, planned or unplanned. Then I eat and go to work or do some art or dance or check emails. Taking care of the physical includes creating beauty and taking inner joy and my passion for color and design and fabric and pattern and color and color… into the clothes and then into the dance.
